BECOMING OUR STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING SPECIALIST

Day-to-Day:

As a Structural Engineering Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in our team's success. You'll start your day by diving into the production of design calculations, reports, and plans for a range of bridge projects. Your expertise will be instrumental as you collaborate with project managers to develop structural calculations, designs, and bid documents. You'll lead the charge in independently creating structural computations and overseeing the development of bridge plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Your critical eye will ensure the quality control of all engineering project deliverables, and you'll provide invaluable guidance to junior engineers, fostering their growth and development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 5 years of bridge design experience
• Design experience on NYSDOT, NYCDOT, and other agencies in NYS and NJ
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification in NY State or the ability to obtain one
• Ability to obtain a NJ License
• Ability to direct staff in preparation of bridge designs, construction plans, and documents
