Job Details

Job Title: Re-engineering and Process Optimization Specialist - Banking/Financial Services

Location: This position is based at our New York City office.

Contract: Long term

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead end-to-end process re-engineering projects within the banking and financial services domain, from initial analysis and discovery to implementation and performance monitoring.
  2. Utilize a combination of analytical tools, methodologies, and stakeholder engagement to identify areas for improvement and streamline complex business processes.
  3. Develop and implement innovative solutions to optimize workflows, reduce operational costs, and mitigate risks across various functions, including lending, risk management, compliance, and customer service.
  4. Collaborate with key stakeholders, including business leaders, subject matter experts, and technology teams, to gather requirements, define project scope, and align process improvement initiatives with strategic objectives.
  5. Conduct thorough assessments of existing systems, procedures, and workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for automation or digitization.
  6. Design and implement robust performance metrics and KPIs to measure the impact of process optimization efforts and track ongoing improvements over time.
  7. Lead change management efforts to drive organizational buy-in, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure successful adoption of re-engineered processes and tools.
  8. Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements in banking and financial services, and leverage this knowledge to inform process optimization strategies and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, PMP) preferred.
  2. Proven experience in process re-engineering, business process optimization, or operations improvement within the banking or financial services industry.
  3. Strong analytical skills and experience with process mapping, root cause analysis, and data-driven decision-making techniques.
  4. Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional projects from conception to implementation.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and influence change at all levels of the organization.
  6. Familiarity with regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and industry best practices relevant to banking and financial services operations.
  7. Experience with process automation tools, workflow management systems, and business process modeling software is a plus.
  8. Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for driving continuous improvement and delivering tangible results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
