Claims Specialist I, Auto

Zurich is currently hiring a Claims Specialists I to join their Auto Claims Team. This is a great opportunity to advance your career in claims by interpreting, investigating and evaluating auto policies and coverage issues, as well as claims handling and best practices. At this level, you will manage auto liability property damage and comparative negligence losses. This position will handle both comprehensive/collision and auto liability property damage claims. You will own your assigned claims from end to end, resolving claims according to best practices. Basic Qualifications

• Juris Doctor and 1 or more years of experience in the Claims Handling or Insurance areaOR

• 1 or more years in the Claims Foundational Training ProgramOR

• Bachelor's Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Claims Handling or Insurance areaOR

• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree with 2 or more years of experience in the Claims Handling or Insurance areaOR

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience in the Claims Handling or Insurance areaAND

• Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s)

• Customer service experience

• Insurance industry, terminology

• Analytical and organizational skills

• Ability to multi-task

• Strong communication skills

• Adapt to a changing environment

Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable range of compensation for roles. In California the starting salary range for the position is $64,480.00.
