Multi Family is Hiring a Roving Assistant Property Manager Near Cincinnati, OH

Job Title: Community Relief Specialist

Division: Training

Reports to: Development Manager

Summary: Fills in for absent Community Managers, Assistant Community Managers and Leasing Professionals. As fill-in for Managers, directs and coordinates the community activities in accordance with instruction provided by the permanent manager. As a Leasing Professional, shows and leases apartments and supports the manager with daily activities. Provides support with special projects to various departments within the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Directs and coordinates community activities as the fill-in manager and advises about any significant occurrences requiring assistance.

Interviews prospective residents to determine their needs and qualifications; shows prospects model homes and/or apartments and discusses community and surrounding amenities; advises about insurance requirements, terms of lease and encourages payment of a security deposit to aid in closing the sale.

Conducts the leasing process , including logging all leasing inquiries, property tours and revisits, recording follow up correspondence and resident service requests in Yardi and on all other site -specific reports.

Assists manager with application verification, lease renewals and insurance verifications.

Coordinates move-in with the new resident, generates move-in and lease paperwork in Rent Café or prepares move-in packets.

Ensures all models, target apartments and market ready vacancies are in perfect condition; walks and/or drives the property regularly to ensure good curb appeal.

Assists manager with property bookkeeping, reports, paperwork, computer related tasks and newsletters.

Travels and works onsite at assigned communities.

Provides input and assistance in Intellishop semi-annual training events as needed.

Advises communities what materials the site must provide in advance of coverage.

Attends all applicable seminars, including accounting, in order to remain current on policies and procedures.

Pursues continuing education in order to enhance knowledge of leasing and skills.

Attends trade functions for the purpose of networking and recruiting.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience: A minimum of a High School diploma plus a minimum of one year of multifamily leasing or residential property management experience.

Math Ability: Must have basic math skills and the ability to examine reports and data in order to verify accuracy and correct if in error.

Reasoning Ability: Anticipates potential problems and acts proactively to resolve.

Language Ability: Very good written and oral communication skills.

Computer Skills: Good skill level with MS Word, Excel and Yardi.

Other: Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and personal auto insurance. Position requires frequent travel and overnight stays. Incumbents must be willing to travel and spend days/nights in another town.

Supervisory Responsibilities: No.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here, including regular and predictable on-site job attendance, are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The associate must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and drive to various locations. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk, see and hear.
