Multi Family is Hiring a Community Manager Near Bellingham, WA

This position is primarily responsible for effectively managing and coordinating people, activities and available resources in order to maximize the successful operation of the property, working with the upper management on company’s objectives, annual budget, and with corporate leadership to determine property operating objectives and plans to achieve them, developing the property team members to maximize performance, and taking a hands-on approach to any necessary duties to accomplish objectives as well as to facilitate the successful performance of others by performing the following duties personally or though subordinates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Initiates and manages all core business processes, including leasing, resident relations, marketing, maintenance, budgeting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, vendor relations, selection and recruitment, and team development.
  • Drives sales performance and ensures all company benchmarks are met
  • Works closely with the Portfolio Manager to achieve optimum new lease and renewal pricing
  • Develops strategies and executes action plans to align property goals with company goals • Responsible for active team participation in all company programs and initiatives
  • Exhibits role model behavior in customer service and professionalism
  • Oversees community administrative and reporting functions; partners with Accounting Department to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Maintains property cleanliness and curb appeal • Prepares and presents annual property budget
  • Completes/oversees completion and implementation of the annual marketing plan and quarterly strategies
  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of Fair Housing and Employment laws. Ensures the same level of compliance from all team members.
  • Partners with HR/Portfolio Manager in the recruitment and retention of quality employees where applicable • Adheres to all risk and safety protocols and audits
  • Drives the growth and development of the team through effective coaching and counseling techniques; partners with Training when needed
  • Completes additional tasks or projects as assigned by the Portfolio Manager

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

May directly supervise leasing and maintenance team members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Human Resource systems; Internet software; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
