A DAY IN THE LIFE
As a Field Manager, you’ll report to the Enhancements Manager in our Greater Omaha Landscape Management Branch. You’ll help lead and support our Field Team, keeping focus on our vision to be the most loved commercial landscaping company in the Midwest.
Core accountabilities include:
1. Leadership, Management, Accountability (LMA)
- Lead a medium team of between five and fifteen people, hold scheduled 1:1 meetings with all direct reports, and model what it means to be a manager in line with our purpose, vision, and values
- Consistently give feedback in line with the Radical Candor framework with at least a 3:1 praise-to-criticism ratio
- Directly manage – and support other managers in – progressive discipline and terminations
- Consistently and comprehensively cascade information through your reporting tree all the way to the front line
- Own your part in the cadence of the business and model disciplined, consistent execution, including OKRs for you and your team
2. Champion Safety
- Engage in and model our safety-first mentality
- Ensure that all safety policies of the company are followed
- Train, reinforce, and reward good safety behavior
3. Own the Process
- Work with crews to maintain the level of quality of Mulhall’s Landscape
- Work with Account Managers to carry out proper new job setup and job start processes
- Work with the Enhancements Manager to maximize management of crew routes and hours
- Champion enhancement job production and execute safe, quality work, on time, and on budget
4. Keep Aspire Clean
- Review and approve time entries for accuracy daily
- Review and approve material allocations and job costs for work tickets daily
- Maintain a complete schedule and champion our No Work Ticket Left Behind policy
- Manage crew routes, including modify routes based on new work and cancellations
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 3 years of landscape experience, preferred
- A steady leader who anticipates problems and ensures the job is always done right
- The ability to independently coordinate the activities of multiple landscape crews
- Experience in leading a team in landscape, property management, custodial service, or other similar spaces
- Spanish and English language skills, preferred
- 3 years of safe driving experience
