MTI Distributing is Hiring a Remote Inside Sales Representative

MTI Distributing, Inc., a subsidiary of The Toro Company, is the Upper Midwest’s leading supplier of products and services to the green industries. Through a combination of exceptional products and superior service, MTI is in the business of providing landscape beautification solutions to golf courses, schools, municipalities, landscape contractors, and independent dealers.

We currently have an opening for an Inside Sales Representative based out of our Brooklyn Center, Minnesota office. In this position, you will assist with achieving sales objectives, increase sales through various marketing efforts and maintain professional business relationships with our customers within the assigned territory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct responsibility to manage a group of in-house dealers. This involves booking pre-season orders, assist in placing reorders, consulting on programs.
  • Contact with dealers via outbound and inbound phone calls and email communication.
  • Responsible for achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Cultivate new orders from existing dealers.
  • Enter booking orders & re-orders in a timely manner utilizing online booking system.
  • Respond to dealer inquiries regarding Ordering, Credit, Shipping, Shipment tracking, Floor Plan accounts, Parts, Equipment Transfers, Programming, Prospective Dealer Inquiry, Advertising, New Dealer Processing and Retail Finance within 24 hours.
  • Work with assigned outside sales reps in meeting customer’s needs via phone, virtual, or face to face contact.
  • Assist with the onboarding of new dealers, including but not limited to Toro systems, programs and general administrative support.
  • Assist in issuance of marketing materials as required.
  • Manage stock order releases.

Education and/or Experience

  • 2 years of related industry experience and/or sales experience.
  • Must enjoy building and cultivating business relationships.
  • A self-starter, driven, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to manage workload and excel at prioritizing and organizing tasks.
  • Must be able to work effectively in high pressure situations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Displays the ability to learn rapidly and adapt quickly to changing situations.
