Overview / Risks

Provides comprehensive support to the Procurement Department and the Donor Services Division (DSD) as the primary liaison with all external vendors, MTF personnel and Recovery Partners for procurement-related supplies and equipment.

Additionally provides support for administrative functions within the Procurement Department and the Donor Services Division.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the Donor Services liaison with external vendors, other MTF departments and Recovery Partners regarding procurement related materials and equipment.
• Monitors and maintains procurement equipment inventory levels and coordinates orders for new equipment, replacements, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
• Monitors, reviews, and prepares reports regarding recovery supply related expenses and works with Vice President, Procurement to assign and track costs associated with various tissue forms (MS, Skin).
• Develops and implements changes in procurement related materials and equipment, including communication with vendors, Recovery Partners, and MTF personnel and assistance with SOP changes, to ensure compliance and / or to control or reduce costs.
• Works in conjunction with Compliance Services to communicate and resolve supply or equipment issues related to product recalls by manufacturers or regulatory agencies.
• Prepares and monitors procurement supply and equipment budget at the direction of the department director and works with Education / Regional Directors to identify excessive spending and means to remedy over charges with Recovery Partners.
• Provides comprehensive administrative support to a workgroup of field and national office staff including arrangement of meetings, conference calls, minutes, web calendars, etc.
• Provides support of DSD educational activities at the direction of the Director of Technical and Education Services, Education Directors and Regional Directors.

Qualifications

• Materials management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education :

Additional college course work preferred.

Experience :

• Minimum of 3 years experience working in a tissue banking environment or hospital central supply or other supply chain management in a medical environment.
• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
