Who are we hiring?
The Cashier is responsible for preparing food/beverage items and selling products to guests during events in a friendly & courteous manner. This position is also responsible for maintaining cleanliness of their assigned location, processing cash and charge transactions. The Cashier will be responsible for timely set-up and breakdown of all work areas, specifics in food safety, food production, guest relations, equipment use and maintenance.
What will you do?
- Selling products to employees in a friendly & courteous manner
- Maintaining cleanliness of their assigned location
- Processing cash and charge transactions and assisting supervisors with timely set-up and breakdown of all work areas
- Required to operate a cash register
- Ensures each employee receives outstanding guest service
- Accurately and efficiently completes all transactions in register
- Maintains the cleanliness of the soda machines, tables, trash receptacle areas, and fully stocks items such as napkins, utensils, cups etc.
- Assist as needed and directed by the Supervisor.
What do you need to succeed?
- Have good communication skills
- A commitment to high-quality customer service
- Prior cashier or food prep experience required
- Must understand food handling guidelines according to the NYC Board of Health requirements
- Must have the ability to maintain a clean work area
- Must be comfortable with heights
- Must be able team orientated
Special Requirements
- Frequent lifting and carrying of up to 30 pounds
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting required
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Must be comfortable with heights
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays
