MS-IL Staffing & Packaging, and its local client, are NOW HIRING a Stand up Tall Reach Forklift Operator in the Plainfield, Indiana, area!

Pay: $21.00 / hour

Shift: 4th Shift, 5:30AM - 5:30PM, Friday to Sunday

The Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe, effective operation and servicing of mechanical, motorized and/or electrical equipment in the facilities work environment, including but not limited to forklifts, dollies, hand trucks, etc. Responsible for the safe movement of goods to or from various locations. Responsible for a sound knowledge of logistics and supply chain, materials management and distribution/transportation processes and policies to meet the business requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure safe equipment operation during material handling and warehousing processes, including receiving, processing, storing, moving, and shipping parts, materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Operate equipment safely while transporting materials.
• Safely operate equipment when loading and unloading trailers.
• Ensure the safety of all personnel within designated operating equipment zones.
• Verify quantities, parts, destinations, and timing from various source documents before moving materials; provide guidance and assistance as needed.
• Lead and assist in using machines for weighing, banding, wrapping, and packaging materials.
• Safely operate and maintain mechanical, motorized, and electrical equipment within the facility.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent is REQUIRED
• 1 years of Stand up tall reach Forklift experience is REQUIRED
• Warehouse experience preferred
• Basic mathematical skills
• Ability to read/write and interpret documents

Physical Requirements:

• Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
• Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight.
• Requires work from heights of up to 20 feet from floor.
• Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other business areas.
• Working knowledge of computerized applications (word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation software, email).
