About St. Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center

St. Bernard Hospital in Chicago provides inpatient and outpatient services for adults and children and a wide range of specialty care services, including emergency medicine, physical therapy, orthopedics, dentistry, women's health, and prenatal care. We also treat acute and chronic conditions like heart disease, cancer, asthma, and diabetes. We have been ranked among the top 5 percent in the country for emergency medicine.

Responsibilities:

• Leads and directs the development and management of new initiatives to improve quality, patient experience, safety, and perception of care.
• Provides project management and cross-functional collaboration oversight to drive the organization's quality improvements.
• Implement short/long-term strategies to improve performance and other patient experience measures necessary for value-based care.
• Initiates and oversees the progress of a comprehensive quality and safety performance improvement program.
• Executes hospital-wide quality improvement strategies, including creating programs to improve the quality of care and services provided to patients.
• Establishes strategic relationships with executive leadership to remove barriers and implement program strategies that exceed hospital, regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Maintains a working knowledge of legislative changes that may potentially affect quality and care management practices and standards.
• Consistent monitoring of quality and safety improvements to ensure results are achieved and exceed expectations.
• Fosters a culture of quality using innovation, integration, and information to accomplish the hospital's mission and goals in the excellence of care.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field.
• Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois (preferred) and or Credentialed Clinical Pharmacist
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical or hospital experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Master’s in Healthcare Administration or related field (preferred).
• CPPS, CPHRM, or CPHQ (preferred).
