THE ROLE

At Movers Shakers, our mission is to spread joy. As an Account Director, your mission is to share this joy with our clients--in every meeting, and in every campaign.

As a senior member of the Client Services team, you’ll be responsible for the development of client relationships, growth of existing accounts, supervision of account activities and client services team, and driving additional project revenue. You’ll use your deep understanding of social media strategy to lead the client and our internal team to deliver disruptive creativity. And you’ll manage, mentor and coach an assigned client services team of Account Managers.

Office situation: This position will be remote flexible for the time being. As the pandemic continues to settle, we would like someone who is willing to come into the Los Angeles or New York office for client and team meetings as needed. If you are not located near New York or Los Angeles, please bring it to our attention and we can discuss that in greater detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Responsible for managing, growing, and delivering joy to lead revenue over accounts from $3-$8M per year 
  • Provide strategic leadership to clients in helping them to meet their business objectives 
  • Understand clients’ business and competitive landscape and evangelize it to the team
  • Work closely with the client to understand their business challenge(s), and the solution(s) that M S has crafted
  • Support your Account Managers in implementing these solutions
  • Work closely with Creative and Strategy teams to define account strategies and translate these strategies into tactical implementations
  • Clearly communicate account strategies to the project team
  • Serve as an advisor to the client by articulating account strategies, acting as a sounding board, and offering suggestions that are in line with these account strategies
  • Identify and close opportunities to upsell within the account and follow up on all opportunities brought forth by account team members
  • Ensure alignment of all projects with account strategies and can demonstrate project ROI
  • Attend client meetings as necessary
  • Mentor and coach Account Managers and Account Coordinators to facilitate continued growth and development
  • Develop and maintain annual, quarterly and monthly revenue forecasts
  • Track and manage pipeline, revenue, contracts, invoicing, profitability and customer satisfaction to meet or exceed established goals
  • Develop and own the account plans for assigned accounts.
  • Review account plans with Account Managers, leadership, and client team members on a quarterly basis, at minimum
  • As necessary, provide subject matter expertise and assist in proposal development for new client acquisitions
  • Participate as needed for intake, new business needs and outbound efforts

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10 years experience in an account services/marketing role such as Senior Account Manager, or Marketing Director, with at least 5 years in a management role
  • Experience in building, managing and motivating an effective team
  • Ability to contribute in both a strategic and tactical capacity
  • Demonstrated ability to develop marketing strategies, plans and programs in digital, social media, and brand marketing
  • Build respect by personal example; is respected by and works effectively with all members of the organization and external contacts
  • Skill working directly with top-level client executives
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Facility setting and holding boundaries and saying no firmly and gracefully
  • Very high levels of flexibility and creativity for solving problems
  • Proven new business or revenue generation experience (both outbound and inbound)
  • Intense desire to excel in an entrepreneurial, collaborative environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Spreads joy
