Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienist to provide quality oral healthcare to our patients. Your role will involve assisting with dental procedures, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a clean and sterile environment.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing materials and instruments
- Take dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
- Perform basic dental laboratory procedures, such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment following infection control guidelines
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following dental procedures
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes

Skills:
- Knowledge of medical documentation practices to accurately record patient information
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment
- Experience in dental assisting techniques, including chairside assistance during procedures
- Ability to take accurate dental x-rays using proper techniques
- Competency in patient assessment to identify any oral health issues or concerns
- Familiar with Dentrix/Dexis for recordkeeping purposes
- Knowledge of aseptic technique to prevent the spread of infection in the dental office
- Understanding of dental anatomy to assist with treatment planning and procedure explanations.
