Supply Chain Analyst

The Supply Chain Analyst – MRP Buyer Responsible for coordination and execution of all activities related to the replenishment of raw materials. This role is an integral part of a team which optimizes the flow of materials, while considering the plants warehouse capacity and inventory targets in order to eliminate potential disruptions in the storage, storage costs and avoiding material scrap (SLOB). Execute the development, maintenance, communication, and publication of the Materials Requirements Plan (MRP) to ensure that customer requirements are met. This individual will be using multiple tools and will be working alongside procurement to ensure all needed materials are available to execute work orders successfully. We are seeking a self-motivated and analytical mind that can drive continuous improvement in their role, and partner with other departments within the organization to build strong relationships and report exceptions that can impact organizational goals and objectives.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Execute the development, maintenance, communication and publication of the Materials Requirements Plans (MRP), including placing orders, confirm deliveries, provide priorities, etc.
  • Partner with production planning and other departments to ensure business continuity, service, and cost management
  • Track and provide updates on assigned key performance metrics (KPIs) like Inventory vs goal, service level, production down time and SLOB (Slow and obsolete)
  • Attend production/project meetings to help drive initiatives and reporting
  • Understanding of inventory policy and execution with the goal to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize costs
  • Participate in new product launches to ensure success of initial production runs

Qualifications


Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering or Manufacturing related field is highly desirable
  • 2-4 years’ experience in production planning
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong familiarity with ERP and MRP systems
  • Strong technical aptitude and analytical skills with the ability to assess trends and statistical data/reports.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • APICS certification strongly preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.

  • Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.
  • Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
  • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and making fine discriminations in sound.
  • Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
  • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (as in typical office or administrative work).
