Mott MacDonald is looking to hire a motivated individual to develop, support and lead the execution of the requirements engineering and requirements management activities on projects executed by Mott MacDonald in North America.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Develop and maintain relationships with members of the Rail Systems Practice and the greater Rail & Transit Practice in North America and globally
• Plan and distribute discipline-specific work with adherence to the schedule and budget on projects
• Assists in business development, including pursuit support and proposal generation
• Assists with the development of the scope of work and level of effort for projects and/or assignments within the discipline
• Coordinates technical aspects of the project with client counterpart and teaming partners at the staff level for work within the discipline
• Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects
• Lead the Requirements Engineering (RE) and Requirements Management (RM) elements of project bids and project delivery, including interfacing with Design, Project and Systems Engineering teams together with budget development as necessary
• Provide Systems Implementation expertise within Transportation projects, commonly public rail projects but also other transportation infrastructure projects that utilize Systems
• Support and influence Systems designs by providing reviews and input from an implementation lens, taking into consideration constructability, field integration, and testing & commissioning
• Provide expertise related to the Constructability of Systems, such as informing detailed design, and input into project schedules and budgets
• Provide guidance and mentorship to entry-level personnel as part of team development
• Write, update, and maintain Requirements Management Plans for new and existing projects
• Apply lessons learned and advise on necessary corrective actions for ongoing projects
• Delivery of high-quality, verifiable requirements to support all stages of a Project life cycle

We invite applications from candidates with the following experience:

• Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering/Science (preferably IT/ Systems Engineering)
• Minimum 10 years progressive experience in Requirements Engineering and/or Quality Assurance and/or Software Design Engineering with significant experience in rail and transit projects
• Demonstrable strength in a minimum of one of the following:
  • Integration and Interface Management
  • IEC 15288: 2015
  • Requirements Management
• Experience with DOORS Next is desirable
• INCOSE ASEP or CSEP certification is desirable
• Good communication skills and English fluency
• Good interpersonal skills with proven ability to work effectively as part of a multi- disciplined team
• Able to hold competent technical discussions with Client representatives
• Able to interface with domain specialists, design managers and construction project managers, in a competent professional manner
• Broad experience of delivery within major infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of railway systems and / or operation within infrastructure projects / technology development and implementation projects

Salary Range: $140,000-$175,000
