Motion & Control Enterprises is Hiring an Accounts Payable Assistant Manager Near Zelienople, PA

POSITION SUMMARY

The Accounts Payable Assistant Manager will work with the Accounts Payable Manager to oversee all Accounts Payable functions for all existing and future business units. This is a hands-on position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Review and manage received not invoiced reports for Tribute and P21 business units.
  • Ensure invoices are appropriate to pay and are accurate per contracts and policies
  • Research and rectify AP processing issues as they arise for multiple business units
  • Assist manager with implementation of planned and future process change initiatives
  • Assist with Accounts Payable team questions and inquiries
  • Assist in 1099 reporting process
  • Review and decision daily POSPAY exceptions for all business units
  • Manage weekly check run process for all business units, including upload of POSPAY files, ACH imports, ACH approvals, wire transfers
  • Resolve returned check/payment issues for all business units
  • Process all invoices, credits, inquiries, payments for assigned business units
  • Manage rent payables process for assigned business units
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports AP manager in direct supervision of employees in the Accounts Payable Department.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; providing feedback for appraising performance; providing feedback for rewarding and disciplining employees.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Able to work as a group leader and individually to achieve both department and company desired results
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Minimum 5 years of Accounts Payable experience including managing a team and relevant processes
  • Strong understanding of AP general ledger and inventory transactions
  • Proven leadership with ability to make and be accountable for decisions
  • Minimum Associates degree in business management or related field
  • Computer skills required: Accounting Software; Microsoft Office Suite
