Core Responsibilities

MotherDuck is looking for an HR Admin who will support the Head of People and the Head of Finance with administrative tasks and projects. We work together as a small team, and tackle most things collaboratively or in a delegated fashion. You are a team player, you are highly organized, detail oriented, and accustomed to handling confidential information.

As an HR Admin, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining employee records

  • Updating HR databases with different information such as new hires, terminations, sick leaves, warnings, vacation and days off.

  • Helping in payroll management, preparation and payment.

  • Answering employees' questions and provide requested information.

  • Assisting with onboarding of new employees.

  • Preparing reports and presentations for internal communications.

  • Assist with AP processing and credit card transaction processing

  • Onboard new vendors to our payment processing platform

  • Assist with state registrations

Requirements

  • 3 or more years of experience as HR administrator, HR administrative assistant or relevant role.

  • 2 or more years experience with accounting

  • Experience with HR software such as Rippling or Deel.

  • Computer literate with programs such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations software.

  • Strong understanding of labor laws and state registrations.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Clear communication skills

  • Bachelors in human resources, business administration, or related field
