MotherDuck is looking for a Part Time Office Manager to assist our Head of People in running the Seattle HQ office operations. In this role you will:
Maintain a professional, organized office environment.
Build and own relationships with vendors, building management and other stakeholders to operate facilities effectively.
Manage and maintain Seattle HQ to keep it functional and efficient. Serve as the main liaison with the landlord and contractors for building maintenance, repairs, and cleaning. Manage office security system and various building facility services, including timely repairs, tracking and communication for effective resolution.
We offer team lunches, snacks, coffee, and various other perks. You will order and maintain stock for snacks and drinks, and will own the lunch ordering and set up/tear down.
Provide proactive team assistance. Help team members be more productive as applicable.
Be a friendly and approachable point of contact. Field requests from our employees and maintain an office where we can all do our best work. You'll also often be the first impression for candidates and stakeholders visiting.
Organization and execution of events, both internal and external.
Partner with HR in the oversight and management of office policies, employee onboarding, and recruiting as needed.
Manage office ordering and complete expense reports, including tracking receipts.
Order office supplies and help maintain proper inventory.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
3 years of relevant experience in an office environment.
Experience working with ambiguity - the right candidate will have a high degree of ownership, juggle competing priorities with excellent judgment, be flexible, and have a positive, service-oriented attitude.
Demonstrated experience with a strong attention to detail and being highly organized.
Demonstrated experience with innovative problem-solving skills.
Experience working collaboratively in teams.
Proficiency with the latest office technologies and applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
