Mote is developing a first-of-a-kind technology for woody waste biomass that removes CO2 from the air and produces clean hydrogen to help the world meet climate goals, improve air quality, and reduce wildfires. We are developing large-scale projects based on our innovative and groundbreaking process to safely and permanently sequester carbon underground, and we are looking for standout individuals who are driven by reversing climate change to join our growing team, to help build our company and to contribute to our culture.
The Strategy / Business Development team is responsible for shaping the future of the company through creating industry partnerships and securing commercial partners for Mote’s facilities. We are responsible for generating leads, understanding industry trends, cultivating relationships, scoping and applying for grants and other funding opportunities, and negotiating commercial contracts. We are a group of innovative thinkers, extremely detailed yet able to take a step back and make assessments at a holistic level, driven by efficiency, using our skills at both the Corporate and Project level.
Mote is seeking a qualified grant manager who can take responsibility for existing grants while continuing to source and apply for new grants. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical and communication skills but most importantly take ownership of all funding related opportunities and is able to lead the team to execute winning applications within the given deadline.

At Mote, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow within a role. Your base pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
At Mote, under favorable financial conditions, employees are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases and annual cash and or stock bonuses. These awards are allocated based on individual performance.
U.S.-based employees have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, basic life insurance, among others.
U.S.-based employees also receive, per calendar year, up to 12 scheduled paid holidays, and initially up to 80 hours of paid vacation. Paid time off may also be available for illness, bereavement and jury duty.
