Morgan & Morgan, P.A. is Hiring an Instructional Designer Near Brooklyn, NY

Morgan & Morgan is hiring Instructional Designers! Qualified candidates demonstrate the ability to work with operational and professional training content, ideally in the legal industry. They will design curriculum and develop courses; evaluate course performance and quality; conduct iterative maintenance, and be accountable for the success of training curricula. They will work with the analysis team, subject matter experts, and training managers to determine training needs and design in person and virtual learning solutions. They will be expected to create, manage, and support evaluation of all training courses and curricula within the scope of the role. They will work in an energetic, fast-paced and strategically agile environment with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Subject Matter Experts and Stakeholders to plan and scope requirements for curricula.
  • Design and develop curriculum architecture to support operational roles.
  • Design and develop engaging, innovative, and effective training programs, which include instructor-led and eLearning training coursework that:
    • are instructionally-sound, applying research based adult learning theories.
    • Clearly based on defined and measurable goals
    • are completed in accordance with project plans.
    • demonstrate best UX/UI and accessibility practices.
    • are high quality and consistent with approved style guides.
    • meet customer needs and expectations.
    • communicate complex learning concepts effectively.
  • Utilize elearning authoring tools and other learning technology systems and platforms
  • Manage and maintain curriculum and courses within your scope.
  • Work with LMS admin to test and deploy your content.
  • Work within standard operating procedures for the larger instructional design team.
  • Partner with a project manager and work within project management software to manage the day-to-day progress of work.
  • Provide train the trainer instruction to facilitators of classroom training.
  • Supply design documentation, storyboards, and design mock-ups.
  • Partner with multimedia specialists to create graphics, video, and other media assets to supplement courses.
  • Champion the ADDIE process, work effectively in a cross functional environment, and align with standard operating procedures across training team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or master's degree in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years as an instructional designer producing development programs.
  • Working knowledge of content authoring tools, LMSs, and other learning technology platforms.
  • Working knowledge of visual design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud
