Position Description

We are looking for adaptable, driven individuals who desire to be part of a dynamic team with company values centered around teamwork, ownership, and professionalism.

General Responsibilities:

Responsible for executing operational plans, strategies and activities that result in the company achieving corporate information management and information technology objectives; participating in recommending and cost-effectively acquiring and managing IT network, hardware and related resources; acquiring, installing and implementing software programs and systems designed to drive operational and team member productivity; recommending ways to leverage information management databases to inform management decision-making; providing oversight to compliance with various IT copyright and related laws and regulations; leading, coaching and directing assigned staff; communicating and collaborating with the IT Manager, as well as management and team members throughout the company, to integrate IT operations and processes for the benefit of the company as a whole; supporting and ensuring adherence to all company core values, safety and general operating policies and practices; preparing and presenting periodic reports and recommendations.

Essential Duties:

  • Supports the mission and goals of the Information Technology Division, especially as they pertain to team member support and related services, by performing a wide variety of duties.
  • Assists with planning, research, design and acquisition of new or upgraded systems and hardware; maintains current knowledge of network, hardware and software solutions and recommends enhancements, as appropriate.
  • Assists with training, instructing and developing IT competencies of team members, as requested and needed, especially Desktop Support Technician I.
  • Fulfills all requirements of the position relating to maintaining accurate, complete and organized records; provides a wide variety of reports to appropriate parties, as requested and required.
  • Actively supports communications and relationship building activities with clients, prospective clients, subcontractors and other parties; assists in building trust and confidence by exhibiting professional, competent and friendly image.
  • Proactively, professionally and with a team-focused attitude collaborates and communicates with members of management and team members throughout the Division and the company to integrate activities and achieve goals.
  • Supports and, as appropriate, actively participates in industry and outside groups and events, in order to project a positive image of M-K.
  • Complies with established company operating policies and procedures in order to maintain adequate controls and to support the adherence to outside regulatory requirements.
  • Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of sexual harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.
  • Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of the company’s commitment to a safe working environment.
  • Responds to inquiries or requests relating to his/her particular area within given time frames and within established policy.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
Position Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficient reading, writing, grammar and mathematics skills; excellent interpersonal relations, communications, analytical and organizing skills, with a genuine commitment and orientation to serving the windows systems and related information technology needs of M-K team members; exceptional computer, network systems and information technology skills; proficient abilities relating to implementing and trouble-shooting applications and programs; must be flexible, self-motivated, capable of handling multiple activities and details simultaneously and a drive to achieve and produce results accurately and on time; collaborative and generative attitudes and abilities toward working as part of a team; visual and auditory skills; valid driver’s license.

Education/Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study, or equivalent work experience; specialized training relating to information technology and related desktop support .

  • The position will typically require a minimum of 5 years’ experience in desktop administration or related competencies
