About the Job

The Senior Accountant position offers a fantastic opportunity to work with an international team based in our corporate office in Irvine, CA. From day one you’ll be able to contribute and have those efforts valued with this highly strategic leadership role overseeing the entire accounting and financial processes in the US and working with our Finance team in China. It will be helpful, but not required, to understand Mandarin. 

Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities as the Senior Accountant include but are not limited to:

• Month-end activities, recurring monthly journal entries, GL & account reconciliation, Fixed Assets, and accruals. Must possess a solid understanding of debits and credits.
• Post intercompany transactions and reconcile inter-company balances.
• The focus will be G&A (General & Administrative operating expenses) cost center analysis, reconciliation, variance analysis, and reporting to Department Managers.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
• Bank reconciliation & daily bank updates.
• Account analysis to review monthly variances between actual and budgeted expenses and to ensure expenses are posted to correct accounts.
• Financial reporting, preparation of supporting schedules, and data analysis.
• Assist with corporate consolidation and subsidiary eliminations.
• Have a good understanding of Fixed Assets, Pre-paids, accounting for leases, audit schedules, Property Tax, and Sales & Use Tax.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field from a domestic or international institution.
• Preferred Qualifications: CPA
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience with an international accounting firm is preferred.
• Self Starter: Strong self-motivation and self-management skills, proactive and fast learning ability.
• Analysis: Demonstrated analytical skills and keen insights into problem-solving and data analysis.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Language: English, and Mandarin is a plus.
