QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current Alabama Teacher’s Certification, bachelor’s degree or higher with an endorsement in general elementary
• Three (3) years of successful certified teaching Experience teaching STEM, Robotics, and/or innovated classroom instruction is strongly preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The STEM teacher will develop and implement reading, math, and STEM education into the summer academy. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares and delivers high-quality, interactive STEM instruction for elementary students by creating lesson plans that are culturally relevant for a diverse student population.
• Be a role model/mentor, promoting well-being, development, confidence, and success; motivate and inspire all to be active students in STEM activities, encouraging their long-term involvement.

• Ability to organize effectively (STEM and PBL projects)
• Willing to attend paid training sessions to prepare for the summer program

SALARY: $50/hour
