About the Position:
This Community Services Aide III is located in the Department’s Services to End and Prevent Homelessness division, Healthcare for the Homeless. The position provides on-site assistance to homeless clients primarily in emergency and transitional shelters in Montgomery County and supports the Community Outreach team with unsheltered clients. Primary areas of focus includes: assist with case management of medical bed clients in both male and female emergency shelters; provides supportive resources and communication as the liaison for complex cases on inpatient hospital units for newly identified homeless individuals, provide navigation assistance to clients in the Housing Initiative Program (HIP); vital signs and other task delegated by assigned community health nurse; and provide supportive assistance to the assigned community health nurse in the Housing Initiative Program (HIP).

Montgomery County Ethics Law: Except as provided by law or regulation, the County's "Public Employees" (which does not include employees of the Sheriff's office) are subject to the County's ethics law including the requirements to obtain advanced approval of any outside employment and the prohibitions on certain outside employment. Minimum Qualifications
Experience: Three (3) years of experience providing delivery of social, health and/or public assistance services and working in a medical setting.
Education: Completion of high school or High School Certificate of completion recognized in the State of Maryland
Preferred Criteria
There is no Preferred Criteria. All applicants will be reviewed by OHR for minimum qualifications. Those applicants who meet minimum qualifications will be rated Qualified, placed on the Eligible List, and may be considered for an interview.
