The Community Health Worker Institute (CHWI) at Montefiore Einstein is a new Institute of excellence designed to help patients navigate social determinants of health.
Reporting to the Associate Director of the Community Health Worker Institute, the Assistant Director is responsible for supporting the overall management of the Community Health Worker Institute, including direct supervision of the Program Manager and Training Specialist(s). The position plays a primary role in program monitoring; evaluation of staff productivity; data monitoring; compliance with CHW Institute goals and standards; and spearheading performance and quality improvement. The Assistant Director will lead the strategies to build and support professional and operational development of the CHWI team, utilizing strong problem solving skills to troubleshoot complex challenges and replicate successes for systems level change. This position requires a high degree of analytical thinking, organization, strong leadership skills, and mature judgment in decision making.
EDUCATION/SKILLS:
Bachelor's Degree
6 years experience or professional administrative management, a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience. Keen knowledge of social service landscape, community health work/case manager/care coordinator or related workforce. This position requires a highly organized person with strong leadership skills; experience in planning, monitoring and evaluating program performance.
