The Senior Administrative Manager, reporting to the Unified Administrator, will assist in managing the strategic, operational, fiscal and human capital/ HR agenda for the Department of Dentistry. The incumbent assists with leading the administrative and operational functions of multiple practices under the Dentistry division. This role coordinates the resources of the Faculty Practice Group and the health system in order to successfully advance and accomplish the Montefiore mission and the department's strategic goals. The Senior Administrative Manager ensures the continual efficiency and compliant performance of the dentistry department while working to advance service excellence initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
Manages operations for all dentistry clinics
Reviews and prepares business plans, as requested by the Chair, Unified Administrator
Provides support to attending physicians, patients, visitor's guests, and staff in lieu of the Unified Administrator or Chair
Maintains effective and appropriate staffing by monitoring employee turnover, overtime and absenteeism
Keeps abreast of all revenue cycle issues, including billing, coding and reimbursement related issues and facilitates staff trainings as appropriate
Manage the enrollment/credentialing and Re-credentialing process of all dental providers on either dental and/or medical commercial, managed care and straight Medicaid/Medicare plans as needed
Ensures departmental compliance with all regulatory governing agencies, including but not limited to Joint Commission and NYS DOH
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Required; Master's Degree Preferred
7 years working experience
Demonstrated track record of management of personnel and fiscal resources
Leadership ability to guide, direct, and mentor a multi-layered staff
Excellent communications skills, including written and oral presentation skills
Working knowledge of financial programs and budgeting systems
