Monroe Staffing is currently hiring a Cell Leader for a manufacturer of cable ties located in Gardner, MA. The ideal candidate must possess a high school diploma or GED and can operate a computer to develop basic reporting and some supervisory skills
Location: Gardner, MA
Pay Rate: 2nd Shift $16.25 / 3rd Shift $16.50
Schedule: M-F 2nd Shift 2:45PM – 11PM/ 3rd Shift 10:45PM – 7AM
SUMMARY:
The Cell Leader - Molding oversees material stocking, quality checks, and equipment maintenance for cable tie processing. They communicate updates to supervisors, ensure equipment efficiency, and maintain consistent productivity levels during shifts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Stock packaging materials at workstations.
Set up and maintain production equipment.
Cover machine operation during breaks for Operators.
Visually inspect products for quality issues and report abnormalities.
Complete and submit "Cell Leader In-Process Form" for quality review.
Pack, label, and prepare finished products for shipping.
Communicate with QC staff and Shift Supervisor regarding process changes and issues.
Handle and transport raw materials and finished goods.
Assist in training new Picker/Packers.
Maintain clean and orderly work area.
Perform daily production tasks as directed.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
Effective verbal and written communication in basic English.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask.
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Ability to lift and stack materials up to 40-50 pounds.
Team-oriented mindset.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Clean manufacturing setting with robotic systems.
Warehouse-like environment with material handling equipment.
Moderate noise level from alarms and announcements.
Occasional exposure to hot plastic and moving mechanical parts.
Ability to stand for extended periods and move between stations while performing duties.
