08/12/2024 Monona Grove School District has an opening for a Varsity Girls Swim Coach. Season begins approximately August 12, 2024.
Overview:
The Monona Grove School District is seeking a qualified Varsity Girls Swim Coach.
Responsibilities:

• Develop a comprehensive swimming program for all grades K-12.
• Manage and evaluate equipment and inventory needs.
• Understand and be responsible for purchase orders related to the swim program.
• Monitor and enforce district academic standards and policies.
• Practice and promote positive interaction with and among student-athletes, the school and community.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to implement effective coaching theory, strategies, and techniques appropriate for high school student-athletes.
• Positively motivate student athletes to instill commitment, discipline, and teamwork.
• Supervise players at practices, games, or any time they are representing the district swim program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience in coaching required.
• Experience in coaching swimming preferred.
• Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of swimming in both practice and meets preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to contribute in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to work with high school aged students.

License Requirement:

• Certified Teaching License and/or ASEP/CNLT Certification.
• First Aid/CPR Certification required upon hire.
