As a Process Engineer Intern, you will be responsible for improving stable production at the Olive Creek 1 (OC1) Plant, as well as develop the depth of process engineering experience that is needed within the company to help support OC1 and beyond.

- Completed at least 1 semester of their 3rd year in an accredited chemical engineering program, and have excelled in the following courses:
- Heat and Mass Transfer
- Thermodynamics
- Fluid Mechanics
- Programming (Excel/VBA; Python or MATLAB a plus)
- An equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the job duties and responsibilities.
What you’ll do in this role:
- Assist Monolith’s Process Engineering team in understanding and optimizing reactor operation and production
- Work with process engineering, operations, and maintenance to complete projects that improve reactor uptime, including:
- Validating heat and material balances
- Optimizing utility usage
- Analyzing equipment performance and generating correlations
- Designing and implementing a plant improvement project
- Gain a foundational experience in a continuous processing environment
- Performs other duties as needed

Your environment:
Work will be spent in an office environment or outdoor industrial facility dependent upon projects and tasks assigned.
Monolith’s 2024 Internship Program is a 12-week program beginning on May 20th and ending on August 9th.
