As a Mechanical Reliability Engineering Intern, you will assist the Reliability team in completing continuous improvement tasks, monitoring maintenance execution, and observing operational performance with the end goal of improving plant uptime. You will do this by participating in root cause analysis, rebuilding/repairing assets, data mining operational data, providing vendors with specifications for capital purchases, and more.

  • Completed courses in Thermodynamics, Statistics, Dynamics, Circuits/Mechatronics, and Solid Mechanics and Machine Design

What you’ll do in this role:

  • Develop and implement asset maintenance strategies
  • Perform criticality, root cause, and failure modes and effects analysis
  • Write Reliability and Maintenance procedures
  • Update the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Redline updates to P&IDs
  • Troubleshoot failed assets
  • Assist Operations and Maintenance in returning failed assets to service
  • Coordinate Management of Change (MOC) activities
  • Design and implement reliability-driven projects
  • Perform other duties as needed

Your environment:

Work will be spent in an office environment or outdoor facility dependent upon projects and tasks assigned.

Monolith's 2024 Internship Program is a 12-week program beginning on May 20th and ending on August 9th.
