Your Role:
The Mechanical Engineering Intern is responsible for assisting in outages and increasing reliability and efficiency of the Reactor and its sub-systems. They will complete well-defined, challenging projects according to their experience.
You Will:
- Lead an assigned design innovation/improvement project – CAD, vendor communication, work instructions, implementations, report out
- Focus on providing a quality project – data sourcing and analysis, leading to inspection plans for part of a project
- Perform documentation – develop documentation to deploy CoreTech technology into manufacturable parts and repeatable processes
- Performs other duties as needed
You Are:
- Current student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics, material science and CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
- Experience working on a technical group project
- Advantageous: Machining or working around machine shops, previous technical work experience

- Able to be engaged, willing to learn and be excited by unknown challenges
- Comfortable working and communicating with individuals from the shop floor to upper management
- Able to determine priorities and manage multiple projects, hands-on approach to problem-solving
- Knowledgeable of designing, fabricating, and implementing with ease of manufacturability in mind
- Able to report on projects in a professional and informative way

Work will be performed within an operating plant environment; 60% climate controlled indoor environment, 40% field.
