Job Title: Quality Technician

Reports to:Quality Manager

FLSA Status:

Schedule:Monday through Friday (6:00AM – 4:30PM) overtime as needed

Hoosier Tank and Manufacturing, a manufacturer of steel and aluminum air reservoirs, is seeking a highly motivated Quality Technician to help with the daily functions of the Quality Department. The proper candidate will have experience in data entry, the ability to read various measuring tools, ability to drive lift trucks, self-motivation and critical thinking skills. Collaborating with Production and Management, the candidate will be able to work alone or as a team to complete assignment and daily tasks. Thinking out of the box, flexibility and strong organizational skills will be a must as the company looks to expand in the coming years.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

• Scrap identification and entry
• Production data entry
• Use of FARO Gage to validate the realization process and verify parts/fixturing (as required)
• Titrations of the tank wash system
• Daily line audits/checks
• Assist with production questions in regard to Quality
• Receiving inspection and labeling
• Limited material handling
• Assist in IATF internal auditing
• Assist in PPAP for new Customers

Education, prior work experience, specialized skills, and knowledge:

• Ability to learn a variety of software systems (NetSuite, SharePoint etc.)
• Ability to work as part of a team and cooperate with others
• Experience with processes related to stamping, welding, etc.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Attention to detail and high level of customer focus
• Analyze problems and provide solutions for internal and external corrective actions
• Sound judgement, discretion, and high level of professionalism
• 3 years’ experience a quality technician preferred

Physical environment/working conditions:Works in an office/manufacturing environment. The individual types at a computer, sorts and records rejected part communicates via telephone, e-mail, production and Plant Management on an as-needed basis. Must be able to do the following:
