Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Provide strategy and oversight for client service department.
  • Implement programs to carry out the firm’s strategic plan as it relates to the client service department.
  • Directly supervise up to 8 client service managers and leads ensuring day-to-day client service functions are being carried out.
  • Conduct annual compensation reviews for client service employees.
  • Work closely with HR and Client Service Managers on client service employee relation issues and, as appropriate, take lead on related communications and coaching with client service employees.
  • Work with HR to develop a client service career path to encourage growth and leadership development among client service staff.
  • Develop client service training program, ensuring proper training of new client service employees.
  • Hold monthly client service meetings to provide information, training, and resources sharing.
  • Ensure proper policies and procedures are developed, documented, updated, and accessible to all client service employees.
  • Ensure consistent, standardized processes for all client services professionals by maintaining the Client Service Handbook that details processes and team workflows.
  • Act as a liaison between client service and other internal teams (i.e., Wealth Management Team, IT Team, Portfolio Management Team).
  • Assist in the integration of client service team during Mergers/Acquisitions.
  • Facilitate implementation of new software as needed.
Qualifications for this position:
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 8 years in client service or operations level.
  • Client Service experience at an independent SEC registered RIA.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and manage employees.
  • Highly proficient in computer software, including Microsoft Office.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with demand for a high degree of accuracy.
  • Superb communication skills.
  • Solid strategic thinker, problem solver and decision maker.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive execution and results.
  • Team player, able to work well with all levels of the firm.
  • Strong sense of professionalism and discretion.
  • Adaptability and flexibility are required; ability to work under pressure and beyond standard hours during busy periods to meet firm needs.
