The Manager, Strategic Operations supports department effectiveness by ensuring that strategic initiatives and action items are documented, organized, prioritized, implemented, and measured. The role collaborates closely with department leadership and helps to craft, communicate, and execute innovative solutions to complex issues, involving varied stakeholders and cross-functional workflows.

Required Skills, Experience & Education:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  2. A minimum of 3 years of experience coordinating multiple initiatives of various size and complexity.
  3. 2 years of experience working in a professional office setting.
  4. Strong familiarity with MS Office Suite.
  5. Experience with applied project management tools and methodologies.
  6. Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  7. Knowledge of healthcare rules and regulations; ability to correctly interpret regulatory requirements when making decisions.
  8. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
 Primary Functions:
  1. Supervises staff, providing daily work direction, PTO scheduling, monitoring attendance, giving performance reviews, and hiring and training new employees.
  2. Perform ongoing analysis of department deliverables, workloads, and skillsets; optimize department capability by translating strategies into practical operational plans.
  3. Develop and maintain systems for tracking project deliverables and accountabilities; monitor progress and report to project stakeholders at prescribed intervals.
  4. Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to identify appropriate project contributions, evaluate risks, overcome obstacles, and ensure project performance.
  5. Schedule and lead meetings as required to define objectives, assign work tasks, and establish project deadlines.
  6. Implement and maintain a department-level dashboard that provides easy access to information about the status of key priorities and initiatives.
  7. Act as a partner in championing the cause for department initiatives; support staff alignment by conveying a positive message about the work being performed, progress being made, and why it matters.
  8. Coordinate resource requirements across all department initiatives to balance workloads and optimize effectiveness.
  9. Provide department leaders with recommendations and consultation to improve teamwork
  10. Provide tactical support to implement strategy
  11. Overseeing strategic business initiatives from ideation to implementation
  12. Identifying and helping solve core problems or opportunities with business processes
  13. Providing support and oversight for special projects and initiatives
  14. Use a range of tools and processes to define, assign, monitor, and report on project-related work.
  15. Other duties as assigned.
