Position: Principal Back-end Software Engineer

Drawing on 20 years of experience, gained through its parent OPM services firm MOCA Systems, Inc. (“MSI”), Touchplan software is trusted today by construction owners and general contractors alike.

Position Summary:

Our back-end software development is highly database-centric. We are looking for an experienced (8 years) backend programmer (Java, SQL, Postgres, Snowflake, Firebase a plus) to help implement all the product functions and business logic that Firebase’s document database just isn’t good at. 

Linux is a key requirement and experience with Mesos and Docker containers is a significant plus. This is a small team that works closely with the Chief Software Architect. We use Agile tools and techniques and deliver code frequently.

Requirements:

• Strong relational database skills
• *Nix experience
• Java experience
• Strong technical documentation skills

 A successful candidate will also have experience or interest in:

• Distributed computing
• Document store databases
• Google cloud services, including Firebase
• Mesos
• Docker
• Snowflake
