Position: Construction Cost EstimatorLocation: Remote – Eastern United States preferredMOCA Systems, Inc. We embrace a vision to help our clients transform the way their complex projects are planned, designed, built, and managed.The successful Construction Cost Estimator candidate will be an important member of our proven Cost Estimating and Projects Controls teams supporting government/commercial construction projects from an owner's representative perspective. Interested candidates should have a thorough understanding of construction means and methods and should be able to successfully develop construction cost estimates for horizontal and vertical construction in diverse locations.
Duties include, but are not limited to, independent cost estimate preparation at all phases of design, cost estimate reviews/validations, value engineering cost support, facility programming cost support, and cost analysis. Direct experience in military construction with the Department of Defense’s Military Construction and Civil Works and the Department of Energy is desired. Cost Engineering certification and experience using MCACES (MII), PACES, Success, Primavera, Crystal Ball, and other cost engineering applications are a plus.
Periodic travel is expected with this role. Travel estimated to be roughly 20% (one trip/month) to attend charettes and other client meetings.
Qualifications:
  • Four-year college degree (B.Sc.) in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • CCP or CEP certification (or ability to achieve certification within six months) desired
  • Three to five (3-5) years of construction experience with expertise in cost estimating, engineering, construction, and construction management, or related field
  • Minimum two (2) years federal construction cost estimating experience. Experience with commercial estimating is helpful. 
  • Experience with USACE, AFCEE, NAVFAC or DOE construction programs
  • Experience with MII, PACES, RSMeans, and Success Estimator
  • Project scheduling and risk analysis experience
  • Possess the right to legally work in the United State without sponsorship of any type (e.g. being a United States Citizen)
