Responsibilities: As a Legal Assistant / Legal Specialist, you will assist the General Counsel in managing and administering all legal responsibilities, while also providing HR support. Your duties will include: ·Communicating effectively with various stakeholders through in-person, phone/video calls, text, and email. ·Proofreading, reviewing, and drafting legal correspondence. ·Managing contracts, including tracking, monitoring deadlines, and creating reports. ·Maintaining and updating internal contract documents and templates. ·Tracking and reporting on outside counsel expenditures. ·Reviewing non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements. ·Proofreading and reviewing company policies and procedures. ·Conducting legal research. ·Providing administrative support to the General Counsel. ·Scheduling and coordinating meetings. ·Supporting the Legal Team's special projects and long-term initiatives. Preferred Experience: 2 years of experience in a professional office environment in a law firm or small-to-mid-sized business. Prior experience in legal. Computer-literate with MS Office suite proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work well under pressure with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment. Education: Bachelor's degree (or currently pursuing) related to law, Contracts, journalism, or marketing. Special consideration for Certified Paralegals and Juris Doctors. |
