The Account Representative create sustainable growth by managing a portfolio of customer and prospect accounts for the Company. Work and contribute to growth in line with the company strategy. Develop positive relationships with customers by handling their needs in a highly responsive manner, providing technical information, product updates, and fostering long term relationships with these accounts. What You Will Do...

  • Manage a portfolio of existing and prospect accounts to achieve long-term success and growth.
  • Develop positive relationships with clients.
  • Work closely with the Sales Manager in the development of strategic sales initiatives to achieve established objectives.
  • Facilitate sales activities for developing and emerging products and markets in conjunction with the Technical Department as directed by the Sales Manager.
  • Market Company products to existing and prospect accounts directly and/or through distribution channels.
  • Negotiate and implement customer price adjustments and maintain mutual compliance with established pricing agreements.
  • Manage and maintain accurate customer information, leads, and opportunities in Salesforce.
  • Prepare call reports in Salesforce that communicate market intelligence and customer/product needs to internal audiences supporting related efforts.
  • Account management of customers, distributors, and market segments as assigned.
  • Participate in industry associations and trade shows as needed or assigned by the Sales Manager.
  • Provide timely sales forecast for the business so that the correct products can be made by the plant.
  • Assist the Sales Manager in resolving problem accounts with respect to product availability, credit and/or customer service.
  • Develop a working knowledge of competitive industry products & services and market developments.
  • The position requires a deep understanding of a broad range of diverse market segments. In total there are about 60 different segments that need expert knowledge to successfully exploit commercially.
  • This position requires strong commercial skills with a strong technical background.
  • The position holder needs to be very dexterous with pricing, have a keen understanding of pricing and skilled in value in use pricing, to maximize the profit for the company.
  • The incumbent is required to resolve customer-related issues associated with our products and services.
  • Ability to work within regulatory guidelines and to understand contracts and non-disclosure agreements used in the normal course of business, and to recommend changes needed to support MCA-SPR sales plan and strategic business objectives.
  • Possess a thorough technical background and understanding of the acrylics markets and applications into which MCA-SPR products are sold. The diversity of market segments and the complexity of products requires a unique blend of both technical competence, and commercial experience.

What You Will Have...

  • BS Degree in Marketing, or science related fields such as Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Formulation/R&D, Technical Service, or Sales in the Coatings, Inks Adhesive, or related industries.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills to communicate with business and technical leaders, customers and other business personnel.
  • Working knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft products including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Frequent business travel, minimum 50% is expected after initial training and pursuant to corporate guidelines.
  • Highly motivated team player with the ability to learn and work independently at a fast pace. Be a self-starter.

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $73,000- $91,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
