Customer Service Supervisor – Alexandria, Minnesota

Reports To: Finance Manager

This is an exempt, salary position. Starting pay $73,088 – $91,360

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee customer service representatives (CSRs) and daily functions of the customer service office
  • Manage CSR scheduling, time off requests and trainings
  • Perform annual evaluations for all CSRs
  • Primary point of contact for payment assistance agencies
  • Balance daily transactions to the general ledger
  • Serve as a back-up to the lead biller
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the general public
  • Retain and dispose of business records as defined by the State of Minnesota
  • Microsoft Office proficiency and knowledge of general office operations

Education / Experience:

Minimum qualifications

  • At least two years in a supervisory role
  • Associate degree in finance, business, communications or a related field, or five years of relevant work experience.

Preferred experience:

  • Customer service experience in the utility industry
  • Experience working with an automated billing system preparing and analyzing billing reports
