Minimum Qualifications:

A Master’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a field of Agronomy, Atmospheric Sciences, Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Business Administration, Chemistry, Earth System Science, Engineering, Environmental Biology, Environmental Health, Environmental Science, Environmental Technology, Forest Management, Forestry, General Science, Geography, Geology, Geosciences, Horticulture, Hydrology, Marine Biology, Marine Science, Mathematics, Meteorology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Natural Resource and Environmental Conservation, Polymer Science and Engineering, Public Administration, Wildlife Fisheries and Aquaculture, and Wildlife Management.
AND
Five (6) years of experience related to the described duties.

OR

A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a field of Agronomy, Atmospheric Sciences, Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Business Administration, Chemistry, Earth System Science, Engineering, Environmental Biology, Environmental Health, Environmental Science, Environmental Technology, Forest Management, Forestry, General Science, Geography, Geology, Geosciences, Horticulture, Hydrology, Marine Biology, Marine Science, Mathematics, Meteorology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Natural Resource and Environmental Conservation, Polymer Science and Engineering, Public Administration, Wildlife Fisheries and Aquaculture, and Wildlife Management.
AND
Six (7) years of experience related to the described duties.

Primary Functions:

  • Develops, manages, and coordinates environmental programs within the Basin Management & Non-point Source Branch.
  • Supervises projects, teams, and/or staff to complete the work of the Basin Management & Non-point Source Branch.
  • Serve as the Basin Coordinator for the Yazoo River drainage basin.
  • Manage sub-grants, cooperative agreements, contracts, and program budgets.
  • Manage nutrient reduction strategies, implementation efforts, and reporting.
  • Develops and manages watershed implementation and education/outreach projects funded through Section 319 grants.
  • Coordinates resource agency partners to identify watershed priorities, leverage resources, identify opportunities to reduce impacts from non-point source pollution.
  • Effectively perform special duties as direct.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $67,558.63 per year
