Job Description:


We are seeking an Operations Supervisor at our Lancaster Business Banking Center!
The Operations Supervisor directly reports to the Business Banking Center Lead and is responsible for providing superior specialized service to our customers through managing and staffing the Operations area of a less complex full-service office. Specialized service would include, but not limited to, Business Banking Center operations, customer service, new accounts, problem resolution and information, and account servicing. May also manage Business Banking Center security and participate in sales/business development activities. In addition to the above, providing basic supervision of 10 or fewer employees, supervising the teller area and new accounts, inquiries and requests, research and resolutions, answering phone calls, providing the officer half of dual custodian functions, maintaining the service levels and loss prevention levels daily at the teller line, ensuring coverage on the teller line during breaks and lunch periods, and ensuring that all daily job responsibilities are completed by the end of each day.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Directly supervise the Teller Line
  • Understand and efficiently post all retail banking transactions. Post transactions and sign official checks up to their approved limits. Individual limits will be set by Senior Management.
  • Assist in the Teller line areas when necessary for customer service.
  • Balance the workload among subordinates to ensure completion of responsibilities in a timely manner.
  • Study, learn, and implement the Bank’s policies and procedures as set forth in the Operations Procedure Manual.
  • Adhere to cash control, cash limits, key control, opening and closing procedures, loss prevention and liability and other security issues as presented in the Security Manual.
  • Understand and adhere to all compliance regulations as presented in training meetings.
  • Adhere to time sensitive functions that require priority.
  • Additional duties may include processing deposits, CTR’s, telephonic transfers, process NSF decisions, ensure cash shipments and orders are processed correctly and in a timely manner, process Night Drop, process and balance ATM deposits, etc., audit daily work by subordinates, process stop payments, and ensure US Mail is processed daily, and certifications.
  • Conduct monthly Regulatory Compliance Meetings and conduct security review meeting(s).
  • Maintain advanced knowledge and awareness of financial industry status and trends.
  • May represent the Bank in various community, civic, and community reinvestment functions to further enhance the Bank’s image and develop additional business.
  • Reinforces the application of superior customer service through his or her own example along with appropriate follow through with involved customers and employees.
  • Assist direct supervisor with daily reports.
  • Perform all other duties from time to time as directed by Supervisor.

The position of Business Banking Center Operations Supervisor provides basic supervision of 10 or fewer employees, supervising the teller area job functions and normally carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Bank's policies and applicable laws.

Experience and Skills:

  • 3 - 5 years of Operations experience with basic supervision skills.
  • 3 - 5 years of advanced teller experience.
  • Previous supervisor experience of 2 years is preferred.
  • Project a businesslike professionalism to the client in both appearance and manner.
  • Possess a strong customer service orientation, and a willingness to place the customer first.
  • Possess strong written/verbal communication skills as well as excellent organizational/time management skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.

Target Compensation: $31.04 hourly, depending on experience.
