Begins as an entry level Assistant Prosecutor in a learning capacity and, with increasing experience and competence, works as an intermediate or developing-level assistant prosecutor. Beginning emphasis is on legal research, with increasing responsibility for general trial work. As trial skills develop may be assigned a limited felony caseload, in addition to district court and juvenile/family court responsibilities.
This is a full-time benefited position based out of the Grand Haven Courthouse. Travel to other County locations as needed. Typical working hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Graduation from an accredited law school. No prior professional legal experience is required.
Licenses and Certifications:
Must be a member in good standing of the State Bar of Michigan.
