Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is Hiring a Seasonal Office Support Staff- Youth Employment Near Minneapolis, MN

Summary

Provide administrative and clerical support for Teen Teamworks, Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board’s (MPRB) summer youth employment program. Support Youth Employment and Training staff through a variety of tasks including data entry, filing, communications, and organization. Ensure that all duties are completed accurately and delivered with a high quality and in a timely manner. Must be available mid-June through mid/late August 2024; Monday- Thursday from 9:00AM- 3:00PM and have flexibility for Friday morning hours as needed.

What You'll Do

  • Update and maintain databases and other tools used to track and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain office supply organization, filing, and storage systems.
  • Assist with data collection and entry to maintain compliance with educational requirements and payroll needs.
  • Assist with in-person visits from the public and youth and direct them to the correct staff member.
  • Communicate closely with Teen Teamworks and MPRB staff on a regular basis.
  • Hold accountability for work products and performance.
  • Answer phones and distribute accurate messages.
  • Retrieve information when requested.
  • Collaborate with Teen Teamworks and Youth Employment staff to coordinate special tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate effective and perform independent work.
  • Pay attention to detail.

What To Bring

Need To Have:

  • Administrative experience: minimum two (2) years

Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Most work performed in a normal office environment.
