We are seeking a motivated professional that is passionate about early education to join our school as a Preschool Assistant Teacher. In this position, you assist the primary classroom teacher with activities and learning exercises and help maintain a friendly, inclusive atmosphere for all students.
You will assist the lead teacher in any way possible including but not limited to: Preparing and setting up activities, implementing portions of the daily program as directed by the lead teacher, supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children, assist in keeping the classroom, and storage areas, clean, neat, and orderly. Depending on needs and class sizes, you may take small groups of students aside for separate activities.
The assistant teacher helps support the development of relationships between children and families. The assistant teacher must also maintain communication with lead teachers and provide feedback as needed.
The assistant teacher must love kids and understand the importance of making a difference in their lives.
Hiring for: Present (1-2023) till June 2023; Monday-Thursday 8:45-12:15. Summer hours and fall 2023 hours to be determined, but will be very similar. Additional hours possible in other programs for those who are interested.
