MineSense is Hiring an Intermediate Engineering Project Manager Near Vancouver, WA

We are looking to add an Intermediate Engineering Project Manager to our Delivery Manager team in Vancouver, B.C. Reporting to the Delivery Manager, the Intermediate Engineering Project Manager’s primary purpose is to contribute to MineSense's Engineering functions and develop processes for efficient project execution. As a member of the Engineering Team, this role will manage projects from planning and designing to the completion stage contributing to the delivery of best-in-class solutions that improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact across the mining value chain. An ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented self-starter that is adaptable to varying paces and environments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to preparation and development of business processes to establish the Delivery Management Function. 
  • Coordinates and delivers projects to meet product specifications and requirements. 
  • Ensure technical project delivery and provide oversight for technical project key performance indicators including schedule, budget, forecast and project spending. 
  • Develop and maintain engineering project plans with milestones, while identifying issues and mitigating risks.
  • Remove roadblocks and create timelines for development, deployments, and engagement work. 
  • Provide support and training to the MineSense team conveying policies and priorities, directing engineering work, and ensuring issues are resolved to achieve business outcomes and schedule, financial, technical and scope objectives. 
  • Coordinate meetings, track action items and create relevant project documentation necessary to support technical project delivery. 
  • Liaise with the cross functional teams to develop plans and manage submission schedules as appropriate. 
  • Work collaboratively and professionally with the cross functional internal team. 
  • Work with the design and development team to maintain processes and improve efficiency. 
  • Contributes to training teams by conveying policies, procedures, and priorities. 
  • Additional duties as occasionally required by your manager. 
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, or a related technical/business field. 
  • 2-4 years of experience in an Engineering/Product Development environment 
  • PMP designation is considered an asset. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. 
  • Must be able to work with demanding deadlines and changing priorities. 
  • The ability to effectively make sound decisions under tight deadlines. 
  • The ability to organize, plan and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results. 
  • Experience with MS Office suite of tools. 
  • Experience with project administration with Jira. 
  • Experience with Phase/Gate development process 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently and in teams. 
  • Health & Safety conscious individual. 
  • Legally able to work in Canada.

$91,000 - $106,000 a year

The salary offered to the successful candidate will be based on their experience, knowledge and skills they bring to MineSense, market data based on their location as well as internal equity.
