SUMMARY
Responsible and accountable for the procurement and tracking of all components required within the production process. In addition, this position is responsible for ensuring all production material are adequately planned, scheduled, and organized, to provide quality parts for production to be produced on schedule, meeting customer and company requirements. Responsible for assisting with customer service activity of all customer accounts, ensuring that all customers are completely satisfied with the parts and services received from MAS Georgia.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Materials Planning & Production Scheduling
Reviews customer forecasts and accurately determines ordering volumes based on MRP and actual consumption
rates of materials.
Proficient forecasting and purchasing of components required in the manufacturing process.
Meet with schedulers on a regular basis to discuss production/scheduling issues and to revise production
schedules according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of parts,
material, machines, equipment, and personnel to meet required dates.
Coordinate with production supervisors/managers to determine part availability and tracking of shipments to
ensure zero downtime.
Works with new model engineering to ensure all materials required in new model start-up is available for
production ramp up.
Successfully avoids all potential shortages within the supply chain as to insure production plans are maintained as
scheduled.
Meticulously analyze inventory reports, estimating runouts and days-on-hand levels for reporting purposes.
Tracking shipments both sea and truckage to ensure purchase orders are met on time as to ensure zero downtime.
Compiles and analyzes reports concerning progress of work, downtime due to lack of stock, and revises schedule
as required.
Maintains inventory of materials and parts needed to complete production in coordination with purchasing.
Expedites production of spare parts and establishes delivery dates for spare parts orders, in coordination with
purchasing.
Utilizes material requirements planning (MRP) via JD Edwards (JDE) to effectively perform job requirements.
Establish, correct, and maintain the utilization of resource ID’s in JDE.
Assist the shipping department and the assistant manager, PC department with communication to customers on
delivery dates and proof of delivery (POD).
Work with suppliers from various countries, ensuring that the international supply chain maintains consistent
material flow.
Communicates any and all potential shortages discovered within the supply chain and properly escalates concerns
to management.
Assists with inventory cycle counting to ensure accurate ordering is performed, always notating when issues arise
within the supply chain.
Analyzes datasets in Excel using Electronic Data Interchanges from suppliers and customers, ensuring that the
data provided is correct and accurate to the ordering forecast.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for maintaining the supply chain in a tier 1 automotive
environment that is constantly changing.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty

EDUCATION: BS/BA in business administration, logistics, productions operations management, or related fields
involving inventory management preferred. A minimum of five years’ experience in a process-manufacturing
environment. Must be computer literate. Thorough knowledge of inventory management techniques, inventory
forecasting, stocking, and scheduling strategies. Knowledge of JDE System preferred but not required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Be able to analyze and interpret mathematical data in the Visual Manufacturing
system to schedule jobs.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to analyze problems and use sound judgment to determine the best and most
effective course of action. Be able to perform under pressure and react to the constant changes in the production
schedule in an efficient and effective manner. Be able to provide short-term and long-term guidance to division
supervisors.
