The Behavioral Health Scribe, under the direction of the Psychiatrist, is responsible for the accurate and timely documentation. Accompany the clinician into patient rooms in order to transcribe the patient’s history, subjective reports by the patient, and other evaluations, as stated by the provider.

What will you be doing?

• Accurately documenting the patient-provider encounter
• This is an in-person scribe position in an inpatient setting
• Inpatient setting: the Behavioral Health Scribe rounds with a Psychiatric MD and mid-level providers and documents the encounter
• The Behavioral Health Scribe is responsible for accompanying the clinical provider during patient examinations to transcribe clinical evaluations
• Schedule Monday, Tuesdays and Fridays

What you bring to the table?

• 1 years of experience in clinical documentation / scribe work
• Strong oral and written communications skills.
• Effective team player with the ability to effectively collaborate across and outside the organization to support clinical operations, interacting with staff, executives, providers, clients, and others
• Meticulous follow-through of delegated tasks, including follow-up with staff to ensure completion, and quality
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Strong organizational skills, including time management
• Computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
