Our Ideal Candidate is :

The Retail-Cafe Manager is responsible for leading our team in our Marketplace. As the Retail-Cafe Manager for the store within our luxurious 5-star hotel, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the retail and cafe operations.

Your primary focus will be on managing a large staff, implementing effective merchandising strategies, and demonstrating strong financial aptitude to analyze and report on the store's financial performance.

You will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of our hotel's retail experience and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our esteemed guests.

Communicate regularly with the management team concerning all aspects of sales, customer feedback / traffic and associate training / performance

Participate in weekly store walk-throughs with the management team and follow-up as required.

Coach, train & recognize and manage all aspects of performance and development for all store associates to encourage professional growth and build talent within the team.

Coach and develop team members; hire, fire, assess, discipline, document performance.

Advanced knowledge of Food and Wine.

Supervise, train and assist employees like Sales Representatives, Cafe Cashiers, and Baristas in customer service, store maintenance and product promotions.

Develop and maintain a schedule for employees and promotions centered on holiday sales and other cycles.

Seek ways to better promote the store, the product line and service within the store.

Maintain proper inventory levels, ensure stocking, implement purchasing plans and maintain contact with suppliers to ensure maximum efficiency in meeting sales goals.

Implement cross-training of employees and supervisors to maintain productivity at all times.

Manage all controllable costs with a view to maintaining profitability.

Ensure the store remains clean and presentable at all times.

Hire and train as needed to ensure adequate personnel is on hand to provide outstanding customer service.

Ability to adapt quickly in a high volume environment

Knowledge of financial reporting and ability to analyze data

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a Hospitality related field preferred

Proven experience in managing a large retail staff in a luxury retail environment.

Strong merchandising skills with a keen eye for design and detail.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with staff, guests, and hotel management.

Proficiency in using retail management software and point-of-sale systems.

4 years’ experience in retail or gourmet market, with at least 1 years in a leadership role

Knowledge of safety and hygiene protocols

Working knowledge of HR practices and labor laws

Ability to frequently lift up to 40 pounds

Excellent analytical and financial acumen, capable of interpreting and presenting financial data.

Salary range : $90,000 - $95,000
