Milodragovich, Dale & Steinbrenner, P.C. (“MDS”) of Missoula, a law firm with a diverse civil litigation practice, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced accounts payable bookkeeper to join our exceptional team. This position involves supporting our growing legal team with all aspects of accounts payable including client and office related cost management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately processing invoices, managing vendor accounts, ensuring timely payments, and impeccable record keeping. .

We encourage applicants who possess the equivalent of 3 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience to apply. Previous experience working in QuickBooks is preferred. Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify invoices for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to firm policy
• Code and enter invoices and expenses into billing and accounting system
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
• Prepare and process payments to vendors
• Process daily deposits, including cash, checks, and credit card payments
• Maintain complete and accurate records of all accounts payable transactions
• Respond to vendor inquires and resolve payment issues in a timely manner
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper authorization and documentation following firm protocol

Qualifications:

• Education and certification in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Proven work experience as Accounts Payable Clerk or Bookkeeper
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communications and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and ability to maintain strict boundaries when handling sensitive financial information
