Cluster Director of Finance

Locations: Kissimmee, Fl and Durham. NC

Millennium Hotels and Resorts is looking for a Cluster Director of Finance responsible for performing the hotels' Director of Finance duties through consistent leadership, guidance, and accountability. They are also responsible for focusing on the business's profitability, maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting, ensuring acceptable levels of internal control, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, and safeguarding owners'/investors' assets.

We are open to having the selected candidate based out of either location and traveling to the other as needed.

We do not offer a relocation package. Candidates must be local and within a reasonable commuting area from the base hotel.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare timely weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports and plans for the properties.
• Oversee the preparation and ensure the accuracy of hotel revenues daily via the Income Journal.
• Monitor and control hotel operations, cash flow, and operating forecasts for the property.
• Maintain timely interaction with Department Heads to ensure property operations are always on track and under control.
• Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations for properties property as necessary.
• Participate in revenue/yield management strategy meetings.
• Compliance with Millennium Accounting Policies and Procedures and internal controls for our finance and accounting operations
• Effectively manage and communicate issues related to managing receivables, payables, daily cash balances, and timely deposits of all funds.
• Monitor hotel revenues and expenses to ensure accurate recording per Millennium Hotel's established guidelines. Advise Department Heads in maintaining the hotels' financial objectives.
• Investigate and critique variances to budget/forecast or the prior year and offer practical improvement methodologies to management.
• Assist with hiring, training, supervision, and staff development, including coaching, counseling, and discipline.
• Assist with Internal/External/Sales Tax audits as required.
• Participate as an active member of the management team.
• Preparation of any special reports, statements, etc., as requested.
• Other tasks or projects, as requested.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
• 3-5 years of previous experience as Hotel Director of Finance/Controller is a MUST; Multiple locations at a time is a plus.
• Strong PC skills, including Excel, Word, and financial accounting systems.
• Strong organizational, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Long hours are sometimes required.
• This position involves travel of 30%.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
